After living four years in Chicago, the Norwegian/Costa Rican Sara Orozco Bøe has moved to Barcelona to pursue a Master's degree.
We asked her to share her favorite spots for vintage shopping in Barcelona - the city that blends fragments of tradition and modernism.
Carrer dels tallers
Barcelona is renowned for vintage shops, independent brands, regular pop-ups, and flea markets. Carrer dels Tallers is a whole street dedicated to vintage shops.
Holala (placa) - This is a large shop, excellent for treasure hunting. Here, you can expect to find vintage shirts, bombers, leather jackets, blazers, and designer vintage suits from brands such as YSL and Christian Dior. They also are known to have a great selection of vintage Levi's jeans.
El Indio - This is a Cowboy vintage boutique, perfect for finding Cowboy shirts, leather jackets, lots of boots, some blazers, and lots of cool belts.
Flamingos Vintage kilo - As the name alludes, here, the prices are based on weight. So a perfect place to make a bargain. Come here to find a variety of winter jackets, coats, cowboy boots, and oversized shirts.
Nerve Vintage - This small vintage store is filled with unique pieces at an extremely fair price. Here, you can find YSL shirts for 60 euros !!!! and Levi’s jeans for 25 euros !!
House of Rowdy - This concept store has a blend of cool interiors and unique clothing.
Humana & Humana Vintage - Humana is not only a place to find pieces for a reasonable price but also a company that puts charity and environmental projects at the forefront of what they do. Since 1987 they have invested more than 32,000,000 euros into development projects.
This chain is known to have monthly discounts. The prices significantly drop throughout the months, and you might bargain for only 1 euro!
